Terms of Service

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of cashautosalvage.com (the “Site”), your offer requests, and any vehicle sale completed with Cash Auto Salvage (“we,” “us”). By using the Site or accepting an offer, you agree to these terms.

1. Offers and pricing

Offers we provide through the Site are based on the information you submit (year, make, model, condition, location, title status). Offers are good for 7 days from issuance unless otherwise stated. Offers may be revised or rescinded if at pickup we find the vehicle materially differs from what was described — for example: the car is missing a major component (engine, transmission, catalytic converter) that was represented as present, or the title is unavailable when it was represented as available.

We pay the offer amount as cash or check at pickup, at our discretion, after inspection. The offer number you see is the number we pay; we don’t haggle down at pickup unless the car is materially different from the description.

2. Title and ownership

You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to sell the vehicle — you are the registered owner, an authorized agent, or a person with court authority (executor, administrator, etc.). You agree to provide a valid title or to follow the alternative-title path we’ve agreed to (duplicate, bonded, court-ordered, etc.) before final payment.

At pickup, you transfer title and physical possession of the vehicle to us. From that point we are the owner. Pre-pickup damage, theft, or vandalism is your responsibility; post-pickup is ours.

3. Pickup and tow

Pickup is performed by our licensed and insured tow partner. Pickup is free for all standard scheduled pickups within our coverage areas. Special-circumstance fees may apply (extreme rural distance, after-hours requests, vehicles requiring specialized equipment) and will be disclosed before pickup.

You agree to make the vehicle accessible for tow at the agreed time — meaning clear of obstructions, unlocked or with keys provided, and not blocked in by other vehicles or structures. Repeated failed pickup attempts may result in a missed-appointment fee or rescission of the offer.

4. Personal property

Remove all personal property from the vehicle before pickup. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle. We don’t store, return, or compensate for personal property left behind — the vehicle goes to processing within hours of pickup.

5. Site use

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes related to selling a vehicle to us. You may not:

  • Submit fraudulent offers, false information, or use automated tools to scrape pricing data.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Site without permission.
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation (denial-of-service, exploit attempts, etc.).
  • Use the Site if you’re under 18 or otherwise not legally able to enter contracts.

6. Disclaimers and limitations of liability

The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Pricing displayed in offer estimates, blog posts, and pricing examples is illustrative; the binding offer for your vehicle is the one generated when you submit your specific car details.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to your use of the Site or a transaction is limited to the offer amount for your vehicle (or, if no offer was completed, $100). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from misrepresentation of vehicle condition, ownership, or title status; from any undisclosed liens; or from any third-party claim against the vehicle prior to the time of pickup.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Hillsborough County, Florida, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association — except that small-claims court actions and injunctive relief for intellectual property are exempt from arbitration.

Class action waiver: you agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of a class or representative action.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
